My Story
Hey there, fellow rule breakers! I'm Katie your friendly neighbourhood celebrant, and I'm on a mission to turn your special moments into unforgettable, laughter-filled memories!
I found my way into the world of celebrancy after trying to plan my own unique wedding ceremony... and hitting some hurdles with the registrar route. What I wanted really didn't fit in with the time and content restrictions these types of ceremonies have. Back then, I didn't know about celebrant-led weddings and the limitless options they provide. It was too late for me... but luckily, you have found me just in time!
Beyond the world of love and vows, I'm a card-carrying geek with a penchant for comic books, horror flicks, and all things sci-fi. I also have a love the 1950s… it’s glamour… it’s fashion… it’s starlets.. I found a way to fuse these two interests during my time burlesque dancing as my superhero alter-ego Rosetta Vendetta!
These days, when I'm not orchestrating the perfect ceremony, you'll find me soaking up the vibes (with a pint in hand) at local Birmingham gig... Enjoying a dose of drama at the theatre... Or front row centre for some stand up comedy!
I also still tread the boards in a local theatre group. Earlier this year I took on the role of Aladdin in an extravagant, totally over-the-top panto production of the tale (oh yes, I did!) And right now we are rehearsing for Addams Family the Musical, where I will be playing the role of the hilarious and sultry Morticia!! (click, click!)
