Naming Ceremonies
Congratulations on the new arrival (or imminent arrival) to your family! Now that you’ve decided to celebrate this joyous occasion with a Naming Ceremony, the sky is the limit!
First thing's first, you can select whatever venue you wish! Some people book out event spaces or pubs, some people choose a public space like a park or a beach. Others choose to keep it really intimate and personal and host in their own garden. There are no wrong choices when it comes to your unique ceremony!
If you choose a “Ceremony with Katie”, I will work with you to write a beautiful bespoke ceremony for your celebration. You will have as much input as you wish and I will ensure to collect lots of beautiful stories and anecdotes to scatter throughout the ceremony.
You can choose the music you wish to be played and the readings or poems you wish to include. But rest assured, I am here to help with suggestions along the way if you need inspiration!
You can also choose to include a range of symbolic additions to your ceremony. Some families have opted to plant a tree; some have chosen candle lightings; fireworks, sand ceremonies, ribbon ceremonies, or foot and hand printing. I can talk you through your limitless options to ensure you have the additions that best suit you!
Many families choose to appoint Guide Parents -. Loved ones who you wish to support and guide your child as they grow. I will talk with any significant people you wish to involve and write out their promises or wishes to include in the ceremony.
On the day of your celebration, I will perform the ceremony in front of you and your loved ones and help welcome your little one into your chosen community! You can sit back, relax and enjoy the celebrations, leaving the smooth running of the ceremony to me!

An additional travel cost will be quoted for locations more than 40 miles from b73.
An additional cost can be quoted if you choose to have a symbolic addition and would like Ceremonies with katie to provide the materials needed. An additional cost can also be quoted if you would like ceremonies with katie to manage music all sound/ music and media during the ceremony.
